About me
Hi, I'm Chelsea and I'm a professional freelance artist! I use a variety of styles and media to create children's books, visual development, concept art, gallery work, and editorial illustration. Doing a bit of everything is something that brings me great joy, and I love the challenge of trying something new.
My passion for art began at a young age. As a child I devoured animations, video games, comics, and children's books. I would come home with a massive stack of books from the library, only to get more the next week. A friend introduced me to Arts and Communications Magnet Academy, a public magnet school 6-12 located in Beaverton, Oregon. I attended with a focus in Visual Arts. After graduation, I began attending the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. I graduated with my B.F.A. in 2011.
When I am not working on art I like to write, read, swim, watch horror movies, play video games, and of course: hang out with my husband and two kitties.
